How important are your memories?
Are you a "meh, cell phone shots are fine." or a "they're only little once" type person?
If you're the type that cherishes quality and want something that simply increases in emotional value for years to come, then I certainly wouldn't find a cheap and inexperienced photographer to capture your precious memories!
I heard a quote a long time ago about photographers, and it's stuck with me ever since: "๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐." Think about that for a moment.
Yes, we're busy. Yes, sometimes money is tight. But in 10 years, when you look back to their tiny smiles and curly hair, do you want the images to be too dark and slightly blurry? Of course not, you want quality portraits of your precious family.
How about Uncle Bob who offered to cover your wedding day (one of the most important events in your life) for "free". It may sound good at the time because "WOW, we're getting a deal here!" What does that deal cost you in the long run?
I just want everyone to stop and think a moment about what is more important.
